2011 SAMHSA Policy Academy, Best Practices for Reclaiming Recovery, Resiliency, and Readiness: The North Carolina team identified outreach to American Indian veterans and employment as areas for ongoing technical assistance.
On May 24-25, 2011, three members of the NC team attended the Policy Academy on Best Practices for Reclaiming Recovery, Resiliency, and Readiness in Baltimore, along with teams from the 2008 and 2010 Policy Academies.

Through presentations and workshops, best practices were introduced on trauma-informed services, suicide prevention, military families, outreach and engagement, peer models, employment, homelessness prevention, and community integration. The NC team identified outreach to American Indian veterans and employment for TA requests.
